Joaquim Oliveira is a Partner at Seneca Evercore. Previously, he was Managing Partner at Cescon Barrieu, a law firm that he found in 2001. At Cescon Barrieu, Joaquim was responsible for banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and mainly restructuring. As a legal advisor, he has represented debtors and creditors in complex local and international debt restructuring transactions involving multi-creditors negotiations, sale and purchase of distressed assets, exchangeable and convertible transactions and inter-creditors negotiations. Previously he worked as a foreign associate at Simpson Thatcher & Barlett LLP in New York and started his career at Machado Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados. Joaquim holds an LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School and a Law degree from the University of São Paulo (USP)
