Daniel Wainstein

Daniel Wainstein is a Senior Partner at Seneca Evercore. Previously, he was the Country Head of Greenhill’s Brazilian subsidiary. He joined Greenhill in October 2013, after leaving Goldman Sachs, having been the first Brazilian partner in the history of Goldman Sachs (and remains until today as the only Brazilian to achieve that position in their Investment Banking Division). While at Goldman, Daniel was the Head of the Investment Banking Division in Brazil between 2008 to 2013, a member of the Latin America and Brazil Executive Committees and a statutory director of Goldman’s Brazilian bank. He started his investment banking career at Lehman Brothers in 1998 and joined Goldman Sachs in New York in January 2000. In addition to Seneca Evercore, Daniel exercises a non-executive role as the Senior Country Advisor for the IFC in Brazil. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, completed coursework at the Ph.D. program in Economics at Brown University and received his bachelor’s in Economics at the University of São Paulo (USP)
