Daniel Wainstein has served as a founding partner at Seneca Evercore since October 2013, after leaving Goldman Sachs, where he became the firm’s first—and to this day, only—Brazilian partner. From 2008 to 2013, Daniel headed Goldman Sachs’ investment-banking business in Brazil and Latin America, served on the Latin America and Brazil Executive Committees, and was a statutory director of Banco Goldman Sachs do Brasil S.A. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1998 and joined Goldman Sachs in New York in 2000.
In addition to his role at Seneca Evercore, Daniel holds a non-executive position as a senior adviser to the IFC in Brazil. He pursued a Ph.D. in Economics (incomplete) at Brown University, holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP), and is currently completing a master’s degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health Psychology at King’s College London
